Quick answer
Choose the Ultimate Protein Bundle if you want the widest variety of freeze-dried proteins and are willing to pay more. Pick the Gourmet Collection if you prefer a curated, budget-friendly set with rich flavors like capelin and duck.
Variety vs. curation: what each bundle offers
The Ultimate Protein Bundle is Fussy Cat's complete freeze-dried collection, featuring all 9 premium flavours. It's designed for owners who want to offer their cat a rotating menu of proteins without buying separate bags.
The Gourmet Collection takes a more selective approach, with 5 flavours that focus on premium proteins and rich offal: capelin, cod, duck, beef, and liver. This set is ideal for cats that enjoy intense, meaty tastes and for owners who prefer a smaller, more intentional selection.
Price and value: what you pay for
At $29.99 (compared to $39.99), the Ultimate Protein Bundle costs more upfront but delivers the complete range of flavours, making it a better value per flavour if your cat enjoys variety.
The Gourmet Collection is priced at $14.90 (compared to $20.99), offering a lower entry point. It's a smart choice if you're new to freeze-dried treats or want to sample premium proteins without committing to the full set.

How to decide: trade-offs at a glance
- If you want maximum variety: Choose the Ultimate Protein Bundle. You get all 9 flavours, so your cat can explore different proteins and you can discover which ones they love most. The per-flavour cost is lower than buying singles, so variety seekers get more bang for their buck.
- If you want a curated premium sampler: Go with the Gourmet Collection. Its 5 flavours focus on high-quality proteins and offal, giving a rich taste experience without the full commitment. This is a great entry point if you're new to freeze-dried treats or want to test a few premium options.
- If budget is a concern: The Gourmet Collection is the more affordable option at $14.90, making it a lower-risk purchase if your cat is picky. If your cat devours it, you can upgrade to the Ultimate Protein Bundle later for the full range.
